echos around the NBA

Diar DeRozan, Chicago Bulls daughter of DeMar DeRozen’s screams such that
Shanda Slipp ….. Superfan said
“Once you had heard it…..you couldn’t UNHEAR IT!”
Her screams were generating laughs among the shows announcers during the game and him after the fact. Leading talk shows only focussed on the impact of her RAPE SCREAMS being an unfavourable distraction, rather than how it elicited a males natural response to such a blood curdling interruptions, during the Toronto Raptors free throws.
All the while never being discouraged by her mother sitting right next to her or fans, including Superfan Nav Batia or her father.
Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon
on the U.S. network ESPN show Pardon the Interruption thought that 50% free throw shooting was appalling while chuckling at Diar’s screams.
Malika Andrews on ESPN’s NBA Today

made light of the blood curdling screams of Diar, demuring more to Joe Dumars suspension of Dramond Green.
After the game Demar smiled coyly as the interviewer referred to the blood curdling rape screams as “the elephant in the room”.
The point is that this was more than a distraction, but clearly a human response to such an unnatural sound during a sporting event. Distractions are clearly a part of the NBA game. But Diars’ were over the top!

Yes fans do have the right to be fans, but screaming like you are being raped is going to have this impact:
Toronto’s free throw percentage dropped from 80% to 50% on 36 throws!
Raptors, step up. DeMar would certainly not be laughing if his daughter was in danger, so why should he not intervene himself when members of his former team were concerned for her welfare?
The little girl who cried wolf 36 times should be addressed appropriately, NOT the way it was or with such levity by female media people after the fact!
They booted the RAPTOR from behind the free throw line, why not her?????
